Clara Hines' story
"Caring from the Heart"
Newport News has been my home for most of my life. My husband and I moved here right after college, built our careers, and raised our family. I spent years working in public schools—first as a business teacher and later as a counselor—helping students plan for their futures.
When my husband became ill, Warwick Forest became part of our journey. He spent time in Memory Care before he passed away, and I saw firsthand the dedication and kindness of the staff. A few months later, with the help of my daughter, I visited several communities before making my decision. Warwick Forest stood out in every way. I knew this was where I wanted to be.
One of the best parts of living at Warwick Forest is their world-class aquatic fitness program. After my knee replacement, the saltwater pool became an important part of my recovery and helps me stay active. I was also impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the entire team—from food service to housekeeping and nursing. Everyone here is working from the heart.
More than anything, I feel secure. Warwick Forest is a place where I am truly cared for. If someone is looking for a retirement community, my advice is simple: If you want a place where people genuinely care for you, this is it.
