Skilled Nursing & Post-Acute Rehabilitation

As a hospital patient recovering from surgery, illness or injury, you want to recover as quickly as possible. The Riverside Rehabilitation Center serves as a bridge between the hospital and the community, helping you to return to your highest possible level of activity and independence.

Your care will be overseen by the medical director and a Board-certified physiatrist, a doctor specially trained in physical rehab medicine; no other center features a physiatrist on staff. With coverage by several physicians in the Center, you are assured individual medical attention.

Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services

Other services are provided by professional staff, including registered nurses and certified therapists. Physical and occupational therapy services are provided up to seven days a week as prescribed by your physician. Speech therapy is also provided when prescribed.

Our rehabilitation services include:

• orthopedic care (often following hip, knee or other joint replacement surgery)
• wound care
• post-surgical rehab
• infusion therapy
• pain management
• cardiac rehabilitation
• pulmonary care

Medicare-Certified Rehabilitation

Those with Medicare Part A who are admitted after (at least) three nights in the hospital typically qualify for 100% coverage for the first 20 days of care and 80% during the next 80 days. Ask your admissions counselor if your care needs qualify you to receive this standard Medicare coverage.

The Highest Level of Recovery

Whether you feel you may need rehabilitation or not, research and experience shows that those who choose to recover in a post-acute rehabilitation program typically experience better results and are less likely to return to the hospital for the same issue.

We strive to provide the highest quality of care for our residents and guests. Our goal is to return you to the community stronger and healthier than ever so you can successfully return to your favorite activities after discharge.

The Riverside Rehabilitation Center is a separate, dedicated program for those who are recovering. The Center features a separate entrance, wireless internet, country kitchen and dining room, plus flat screen cable TV and phones in every room.
