Diagnosing & Treating Cerebrovascular Conditions Before They Become Life-Threatening
Leading Edge Neuroscience

Advances in neuroscience and technology allow physicians to identify problems with the blood vessels in the brain before they rupture and cause life-threatening emergencies.

Many of these problems are found as “incidental findings,” meaning they were discovered when looking for something else. In those situations, they are often referred to our neurovascular specialists for additional testing and diagnosis and, if appropriate, treatment plans.

Conditions we may diagnose include:

Treatments may include:

Depending on the type, size and location of the problem, different treatments, such as neurovascular procedures, cranial surgery or radiosurgery may be considered, and different specialists may be consulted to ensure the right treatment for each individual case.

Neurovascular Diagnostics

Neurovascular specialists can use this type of technology for diagnosing problems such as cerebral aneurysms and vascular malformations. Information such as size and location can be determined by a diagnostic cerebral angiogram, which will help determine if there is a problem, and if so, what type of treatment is recommended.
