According to the Alzheimer’s Association, an estimated 6.7 million Americans are living with memory loss conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s. Experts anticipate that the number could nearly double by 2060, underscoring the growing need for specialized memory care across the country. To support the growing need in our community, Warwick Forest, one of Riverside Health’s Lifelong Health communities, is expanding its memory care residences. This expansion, scheduled for completion by mid-July, will add 10 apartments, bringing the community’s total memory care residences to 30.
“Families facing memory loss need support, reassurance, and a place they can trust,” said Ed Heckler, President of Riverside Lifelong Health. “By expanding our memory care services, we’re making sure more individuals — whether they already live at Warwick Forest or are just beginning their journey with us — have access to the care they need, when they need it. We’re proud to provide a community where people feel safe, understood, and supported every step of the way.”
The Warwick Forest memory care program offers specialized care tailored to individuals living with memory loss. Designed to provide comfort, security, and a sense of home, the program focuses on the whole person, not just their diagnosis. Residents benefit from personalized care plans, stimulating activities designed to improve quality of life, socialization and lifestyle support.
“At its core, it’s more than a residential memory care program. It’s a community built on respect, empathy and compassion,” Nathan Yowell, LNHA, CNA, Executive Director of Warwick Forest. “This expansion gives us the opportunity to offer our unique blend of personalized care, enriching programs, and family partnership to even more individuals living with memory loss. Every detail — from our warm, homelike environment to our specialized therapies and secure, engaging spaces — is designed to support both our residents and the people who love them.”
The expanded community will also allow the center to accommodate more families seeking high-quality memory care close to home, while continuing to uphold the personalized, person-centered approach that has made Warwick Forest a trusted name in senior living.
