Riverside Health is proud to recognize Mary Riddick, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehabilitation Smithfield, who was named the 2025 Certified Nursing Assistant of the Year by the Virginia Health Care Association–Virginia Center for Assisted Living (VHCA-VCAL) during its annual awards program last fall.
Riverside is highlighting Riddick’s achievement as part of its ongoing commitment to celebrating team members who make an extraordinary difference in the lives of those they serve.
The VHCA-VCAL Annual Awards Program honors exceptional individuals across Virginia who demonstrate excellence in long-term care, including administrators, nurses, corporate staff and volunteers, while also recognizing innovative programs that enhance quality of life for residents.
Riddick was selected for her 22 years of extraordinary service, defined by compassion, professionalism and an unwavering commitment to those in her care. Known for her calm and reassuring presence, she consistently anticipates residents’ needs, ensuring each individual is treated with dignity, respect and kindness.
