Final call for registrations for nationally acclaimed educational series sanctioned by the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.Riverside Center for Excellence in Aging and Lifelong Health (CEALH) has announced a final call for registrations from the public for the winter 2018 edition of its “Caring for You, Caring for Me” program – a weekly seminar series offering support and guidance for those who care for older adults. Interested participants, both family and professional caregivers, are encouraged to visit the CEALH website to register now or call (757) 220-4751.

Riverside’s acclaimed program is sanctioned by the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving (RCI), a national organization promoting recognition and assistance to both family and professional caregivers. It has earned Best Practices Awards from both the Southern Gerontological Society and the Commonwealth Council on Aging.

Presenting at Riverside’s first session on Feb. 26 will be Laura Bauer, MPA, National Program Director for Operation Family Caregiver at RCI. Bauer is the co-author of RCI's signature training program and has co-authored numerous journal articles on the topic of caregiving.

Riverside relies on sponsors to help make the “Caring for You, Caring for Me” program more enjoyable and accessible to everyone. Choice Connections of Virginia is sponsoring the participation for two attendees, while a number of other organizations and businesses have signed on to sponsor participant lunches including Agape Home Care, Brookdale Senior Living, Edgeworth Park at New Town, Greg Garrett Realty and Spring Arbor.
