About In-Home Private Care
Qualified Caregivers Meet Your Everyday Needs
Our care aides and companions are Riverside employees, making them part of our state's largest non-government provider of services to older adults. They bring an extensive array of resources, along with coordination with other levels of care as needed. Most other home care providers can't duplicate that.
You will receive an exceptional level of care:
- Staff are prescreened, insured and CPR certified.
- Care aides hold either a PCA/Nurse Aide certificate or a CNA license.
- Team members receive in-depth training in issues related to aging and home care.
- Caregivers are on call around the clock to assist with any questions.

An essential first step is scheduling an in-home assessment, where our registered nurse will meet you to develop a care plan matching your needs with the right caregiver. There is a one-time assessment fee.
Get Help with Daily Activities
Help From a Companion
Services start at $33 per hour. Companions primarily focus on non-medical care in your home and can assist with the following:
- Emotional support and companionship
- Errands and shopping
- Light housekeeping, including laundry
- Medication reminders
- Preparing meals and snacks
- Transportation services, which can include grocery shopping, doctor appointments, visits to friends, outings to breakfast, lunch or dinner
Help From a Care Aide
Services start at $35 per hour. Care Aides offer the same services as Companions but are qualified to offer more involved, health-related services. Care Aides assist with the following:
- Bathing, dressing and grooming
- Emotional support and companionship
- Errands and shopping
- Incontinence care
- Preparing meals and snacks
- Light housekeeping, including laundry
- Medication reminders
- Monitoring vital signs
- Transportation services, which can include grocery shopping, doctor appointments, visits to friends, outings to breakfast, lunch or dinner
- Walking and mobility
Help From a Nurse
Services start at $96 per hour. If you need additional specialized medical care due to age, chronic condition or disability, it may require a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse in your home. We can help. Nurses assist with the following:
- Basic tasks of daily living
- Bathing, dressing and grooming
- Changing catheters
- Dressing wounds
- Filling medication machines or boxes
- Health assessments and care coordination
- Monitoring vitals
- Providing shots and immunizations
- Walking and mobility
Help With Transportation
The cost is 0.78 per mile if using your own vehicle. With Riverside’s services, you’ll have reliable transportation for the following activities:
- Doctor and other medical appointments
- Getting groceries
- Going out to meals
- Visiting friends and family
- Shopping
