Riverside Shore Nurse Named Finalist for March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award

November 15, 2017

Compassion for patients, leadership in quality and patient safety and being a role model are just a few of the qualities that describe great nurses. The March of Dimes, an organization dedicated to preventing birth defects and infant mortality, pays tribute to the nursing profession each year by recognizing extraordinary nurses throughout the community. The Nurse of the Year awards recognize nursing excellence and achievements in categories such as education, quality patient care, innovation and leadership.

This year, Riverside Shore nurse Cheryl Warren, BSN, RN, CCRN is a finalist for the 7th annual Virginia Chapter March of Dimes Nurse of the Year award.

Warren, a 32-year team member at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital (RSMH), was chosen as a finalist in the Critical Care category for her years of dedicated work in RSMH’s Intensive Care Unit. Warren provides direct patient care as well as training, mentoring and leadership for her teammates. She is passionate about providing the best possible patient experience and about advancing nurses’ education and expertise.

With her dedication and professionalism, Warren consistently demonstrates the Riverside Care Difference which focuses on patient-centered care in all aspects of service delivery.
