Across our inviting campus, people really feel at home at Sanders. In the Sanders' Independent Living cottages, residents enjoy 100% maintenance-free living—including delicious meals in a cozy community center, housecleaning, landscaping and interior and exterior building maintenance. It gives new meaning to having the time to relax and smell the flowers (of which there are many across the campus).
All 12 one- and two-bedroom cottages feature outdoor decks, convenient parking, washers and dryers, and fully equipped kitchens.
A pleasant stroll away on Gloucester’s Main Street, residents enjoy restaurants, village boutiques and museums, reminding you that this community is located in one of Virginia's most unique and welcoming towns. And, at this community, that walk might include the family pet, who is also warmly welcome at Sanders.
The Cottages at Sanders are available for rent with a one-year renewable lease agreement. There is no required entrance fee or buy-in cost, like many other larger communities. Yet with a full continuum of care services available to you, we maintain licensure as a Continuing Care Retirement Community by the Virginia Bureau of Insurance, which offers additional peace of mind about our financial strength, service availability and business practices.
