Riverside Smithfield Hospital (RSH) will welcome the community for a special Community Open House on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 1–4 p.m. at its brand-new hospital campus, located at 19339 Benns Grant Blvd., Smithfield, VA.
The event offers residents a rare opportunity to tour the new 50-bed hospital before it opens to patients in early January 2026. Guests will explore the hospital’s patient rooms, Emergency Department, operating rooms, and imaging services, while also meeting Riverside’s providers and team members.
“We are proud to bring advanced, compassionate care closer to home for families across Isle of Wight and surrounding counties,” said Jessica Macalino, President of Riverside Smithfield Hospital. “This hospital represents our commitment to health, wellness, and community, and we can’t wait to share it with our neighbors.”
A Celebration for All Ages
- Passport Adventure: Guests collect stickers at stops along the tour to redeem for a one-time keepsake.
- Family fun: Kids’ activities and live music from the Smithfield High School Marching Band.
- Medical Office Building tours: Visitors can also step inside the Jamison-Longford Medical Office Building (MOB), which has been serving patients since September.
