Riverside to Host Free Community Discussion on Cataract Treatment

Area residents interested in learning about cataracts and the latest in treatment options are invited to attend a free community discussion hosted by Riverside on June 11 at Christopher Newport University (CNU). Chan Nguyen, M.D., Ph.D., a Riverside Medical Group Physician at Hampton Roads Eye Associates, will present “Cataract Surgery: A Clear Look at Your Choices” from 6-7 p.m. at Forbes Hall on the campus of CNU.

Nguyen, a board-certified ophthalmologist, will talk about the latest developments in cataract treatment including who’s at risk for cataracts and why, how to improve early symptoms and slow down progression, what determines a patient’s choice in lens options, and new advances in cataract surgery.
