Robert's Story

Robert Cahn wasn't allowed to carry his new bride across the threshold. "She wouldn't let me."

But should they get married again, chances are she'd consider it.

Dr. Barbaro Perez not only did a carpal tunnel procedure on the 80-year-old Robert, but he also replaced his left knee.

"I get around fine now," said Robert, who lives in the Northern Neck. "I can get up and down stairs. My balance is pretty good…and I feel much better able to enjoy life with my new bride."

Robert hopes he won't have to have those kinds of surgeries again. But if he does, "I'd go back there," Robert said, describing the staff as warm, caring and professional.

"I always felt like I was a special customer."
