Today, Riverside Health announced it will host several free vaccination clinics throughout the region to further promote standard and High Dose flu vaccination. These drive-thru clinics will allow patients 9 years of age and older to receive the flu vaccine.
“Vaccination is still the most effective way to protect yourself, your loved ones and your community from the flu and its potentially serious complications. Each year, we see how quickly it can spread and how severely it can impact vulnerable populations,” says Tom Kayrouz, M.D., Chief Clinical Operations Officer. “A flu shot is a proven way to reduce your risk and lessen the severity of illness if you do get sick. It’s a simple step that can make a big difference.”
Riverside is committed to caring for the community and encourages any resident not yet vaccinated to stop by one of these clinics to help improve health outcomes throughout the region. Getting vaccinated before flu activity begins helps protect people once flu season starts. Please do not come to a clinic for vaccination if you are sick or show any symptoms of illness. Seek care from your health care provider first.
