Today, Riverside Health System is excited to announce the launch of AdvaGym, a virtual wellness program available to Riverside patients and the community. Through a simple, user-friendly app and YouTube, the Peninsula region can enjoy variety and customization during their favorite workouts from the comfort of any location.

Understanding that many community members are not yet comfortable with returning to in-person workouts, Riverside quickly transformed its wellness program to include virtual options in addition to the pre-existing in-person classes. Classes include HIIT, yoga and other much-loved wellness choices all available at beginner or advanced levels. In addition to the 200 workouts available, the Advagym app will also include more than 90 classes dedicated to equipment-specific training from the Riverside Wellness and Fitness center team, and Precor, a nationally recognized fitness equipment manufacturer.

“Despite the vast changes we’ve seen over the past year, we’re proud of our community for continuing to prioritize their health and wellness. Our new virtual option makes that decision even easier by bringing the gym and support system closer to home,” said Rance Bryant, Director of Wellness and Fitness at Riverside Health System. “Riverside strives to continuously adapt and meet our community where they need support, including new ways to continue their wellness goals. Our mission is to care for others as we would care for those we love — to enhance their well-being and improve their health. We look forward to continuing to care for patients and support their overall fitness.”

In addition to the variety of wellness programs available, Riverside will also provide customizable workouts. When using the app, users can determine the time they would like to spend working out as well as options specific to chronic conditions. This amount of customization was built to ensure that all app users find classes suitable to their level of fitness to achieve and maintain their wellness goals.

“We’re excited to launch the AdvaGym app for our patients and community members. One of our favorite parts is that there are no restrictions on location, so those using AdvaGym can enjoy it at their own pace, from any location,” said Sara Marston, Riverside Wellness Center’s Wellness Engagement Manager. “Providing the opportunity to maintain health and wellness for the community is another example of how Riverside is adapting to help everyone continue to prioritize their health, and I’m excited to support more patients in their goals.”
