Riverside Health has been recognized as a recipient of the 2025 Supply Chains of Distinction award, presented by leading health care supply chain leader, Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX). Industry-leading supply chains have evolved to become more automated, data-driven and resilient, giving rise to a set of best practice “perfect order” metrics that measure an organization’s supply chain performance. The Supply Chains of Distinction Award honors the top performing hospitals and health systems in North America that excelled in driving best-in-class supply chain operations in 2025.
“Riverside’s Supply Chain team is incredibly honored to be recognized by GHX as a 2025 Supply Chains of Distinction Award Winner. Recipients of this award represent the steadfast commitment of our team to continually strive for excellence,” says Gerard Crosbie, Associate Vice President for Supply Chain at Riverside Health. “We believe that consistently upholding high-quality and efficient processes strengthens our ability to support Riverside’s mission of providing great care for the communities we serve.”
Organizations are ranked based upon a set of “perfect order” metrics. “Perfect order” are metrics that track the percentage of automatic supply chain orders that ensure the right product, delivered to the right place, at the right time, in the right condition, in the right quantity, to the right person and with the correct invoice. The metrics are reviewed on a full calendar basis and the top 25 organizations in each segment will be awarded the prestigious distinction. The recipients will be recognized at the 2026 GHX Summit on May 11 in New Orleans, LA.
“At a time when healthcare faces increasing cost pressure, workforce constraints and ongoing supply chain fragility, these organizations are proving that operational excellence is both possible and essential,” said Tina Vatanka Murphy, President and CEO of GHX. “By embracing automation, trusted data and AI-enabled insights, they are setting a new standard for supply chain leadership - strengthening resiliency, advancing financial sustainability and helping to enable better patient care at a lower cost. In doing so, they are helping shape a healthcare system that is more agile, more transparent and better prepared for the challenges ahead.”
