Riverside Health System is pleased to announce the recertification for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. Riverside earned the recertification, after first being awarded in February of 2020. The multi-site, multi-year certification encompasses all acute care facilities, outpatient provider-practices and surgical centers.

ISO 9001:2015 is the most widely accepted quality management system in use around the world and is gaining popularity among health care systems to help build the frameworks for quality, patient safety and patient experience programs.

Last revised in 2015, ISO 9001 is the result of input from business and technical experts around the world. The program requires significant involvement of senior management, a broader understanding of clinical and operational best practices, supply chains, and more focus on stakeholder (not just customer) expectations.
