Prediabetes Class - In Person or Virtual
This group class is intended to help people with prediabetes improve their health, reduce their hemoglobin A1c and avoid developing diabetes.
Topics covered include the following as well as questions from participants:
- Learning how the body turns food into energy, and what happens when there is more consumed than the body needs
- Learning how to change lifestyle behaviors such as diet, exercise, smoking and stress management
- Learning the risks of uncontrolled diabetes and how to avoid developing the disease
People with diagnosis of Prediabetes
Classes are offered at 2 in-person locations and via virtual visits.

Peninsula / Newport News Location – In Person:
2nd Wednesday of each month, 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Williamsburg Location – In Person:
2nd Thursday of each month, 1 pm – 2 pm
Virtual Visit:
3rd Monday of each month, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
There is no fee for this class.
