Common reasons for On Demand Video Visits

On Demand Video Visits work well for common health issues.

  • Illnesses: Colds, flu, sore throat, sinus infections, gastrointestinal ailments, allergies, urinary tract infections, and more.
  • Minor injuries: Sprains, strains, minor cuts, bruises, eye injuries, sports injuries, minor burns and more.

You should not use video visits for very serious or life-threatening conditions.

How to use On Demand Video Visits

Our providers are available online to see patients ages 5 and older, from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. A parent or guardian, with proxy access to the child's health record, needs to be with any patient under age 13 during the visit.

You will access your video visit through Riverside MyChart. If you are not a MyChart user, you will need to create a MyChart account before your visit. Visit the MyChart login page to get started.

After you log in to MyChart, choose On Demand Video Visit-Urgent Care to get started. You can find this under the Main Menu, Related Links and Visits.

Once you launch On Demand Video Visit-Urgent Care, MyChart will guide you through a few questions about:

  • Your location
  • The reason for your visit
  • The device you are using for your video visit
  • How to notify you when the provider is ready to start the visit

To provide safe, high quality care, we also ask you to provide or confirm details on your health history including medications, allergies and health issues during your eCheck-in. We collect insurance information so we can bill your plan. Most insurances accept these visits.

Medical notes for your visit will be part of your Riverside MyChart. This free resource features an app that lets you take your health record with you wherever you go with your mobile device!
