The Region’s First Stand-alone Psychiatric Emergency Department

The Psychiatric Emergency Department at Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center treats patients with psychiatric or substance use concerns.

The 15,800-square-foot facility is specifically designed to care for patients 5 and older who are struggling with mental health concerns and substance use. Separate treatment areas for adults and pediatrics include a total of 20 treatment areas, open community areas, sensory rooms and secure outdoor areas designed for de-escalation, and on-site lab services. The facility will be open 24 hours, seven days a week, and will be staffed with mental health professionals equipped to employ the best techniques available to serve and care for patients.

Care teams include supervising physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, psychiatric technicians, therapists, patient access and protection

10 private rooms, 10 recliners

Open treatment areas, outdoor areas and sensory rooms

Secure, enclosed garage entry for EMS, law enforcement & other authorized vehicles

In any situation where there is an immediate threat to the someone’s safety or the safety of others due to a mental health crisis, seeking help at our Psychiatric Emergency Department is crucial. Our trained medical professionals are here 24/7 to support those 5 years and older.
