If you are recovering from surgery or illness, Riverside offers the option of receiving convenient, inpatient rehabilitation therapy prior to making the transition to an in-home or outpatient setting.
We have Inpatient Rehabilitation Centers located throughout Eastern Virginia, and as a convenience to our residents, three are located on the campus of Riverside retirement communities (Warwick Forest, Patriots Colony and Sanders). You do not have to be a resident to receive care here - all of our rehabilitation centers are open to the public. Many patients tell us the Rehabilitation Centers more closely resemble a hotel setting than a hospital.

Riverside inpatient rehabilitation centers
Following surgery, and during the recovery process, you may feel more comfortable with around-the-clock medical supervision. It may be a necessity for some patients and provide peace of mind for others. At our Inpatient Rehabilitation Centers, you will receive more daily physical, occupational and other therapy sessions than what is possible in a home care or outpatient setting. Often, this can lead to a faster recovery. Our goal is to help you return to normal activities within seven to 14 days following surgery.
