Christina Bergey, BSN, RN, CWOCN
Geriatric Assessment Nurse
Christina Bergey is the Geriatric Assessment Nurse with the Riverside Center for Excellence in Aging and Lifelong Health. Mrs. Bergey earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Shenandoah University in 2008 and is certified as a wound, ostomy, and continence nurse. She is experienced in wound, ostomy, and continence care having worked in outpatient clinics and acute care settings. She enjoys educating healthcare staff and the community in each of her specialties. Mrs. Bergey is an approved clinical skills instructor for the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society's Wound Treatment Associate program.
Dr. Khreis received his initial training in the Ukraine, earning a medical degree from Zaporozhye State Medical University before completing an internal medicine/cardiology residency as well as an interventional cardiology fellowship. He completed an internal medicine residency at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York as well as a geriatric medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Khreis is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with certification in geriatric medicine. Dr. Khreis enjoys getting to know each of his patients, treating the whole person.
Geriatric Medicine
Dr. Meehan received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine from Tatem-Brown Family Practice Center in New Jersey, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Meehan joined the Riverside family in 2013 after serving as a primary care physician and Medical Director of several continuing care retirement communities in Pennsylvania. Dr. Meehan has also served as an instructor for Geriatrics Rotations at St. Luke’s Family Medicine Residency in Pennsylvania and as Preceptor for medical students at her alma mater. In addition, she served as the primary care physician for the Living Independence for the Elderly (LIFE) program in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, an all-inclusive program designed to keep older adults out of nursing homes and in their own homes and communities. Dr. Meehan’s mission is to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to older adults.
Jennifer Purdy, PharmD, BCGP, BCACP
Clinical Pharmacist
Jennifer Purdy is an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist with Riverside Health. She is board certified in geriatrics and ambulatory care. Dr. Purdy works with older adult patients in various care settings (primary care, cardiology, Geriatric Assessment Clinic, and Memory Care Clinic) with an overall goal of helping patients understand and optimize their medications.
Barry Rumble, BS Pharm
Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager
Barry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from West Virginia University. Over his 36-year pharmacy career, he has spent the last 29 years focusing on the care of older adults. He is the manager of ambulatory clinical pharmacy services for Riverside Health. In his current role, he oversees Riverside’s pharmacy operations in long-term care consulting and clinical pharmacy services in ambulatory care. Barry has been a member of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists for over 24 years, and has served on multiple committees, including transitions of care, senior care pharmacy, educational affairs, and antimicrobial stewardship. He has served as a geriatric preceptor for five Schools of Pharmacy, most recently Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been involved in research and has participated in numerous research projects over his pharmacy career on a variety of topics involving older adults. In his role in the Geriatric Assessment Clinic, Barry completes comprehensive medication reviews for patients with dementia or memory loss and provides education and therapeutic recommendations to patients, their caregivers, and primary providers.
