Riverside Adult Day Services

Being both a full-time employee and a full-time caregiver can feel overwhelming. My mom has Frontotemporal Dementia, and caring for her comes with many daily challenges. With no family nearby and limited resources, most of the responsibility falls on me.

That’s why the Riverside Day Center has become such an important part of our lives.

The center provides my mom with a safe and welcoming environment where she can spend time with others, enjoy meals, take her medications, and participate in social activities. For her, it’s a chance to connect with people and feel engaged. For me, it provides something just as valuable—peace of mind.

Knowing my mom is safe and cared for allows me to step away for a short time. Sometimes that means meeting a friend for lunch, running errands, or simply catching my breath. Those small moments make a big difference when you are carrying the heavy responsibilities of caregiving on your own.

What truly stands out about the Riverside Day Center is the kindness of the people there. It means everything to me to see my mom surrounded by friendly faces who treat her with patience, dignity, and compassion.

The Riverside Day Center hasn’t just supported my mom—it has supported me as well. And that support has made our journey a little lighter.

Riverside Adult Day Services has been such a blessing for me and my family.

My son Chris has been attending the day support center for about a year and a half. It took me a long time to find the right program for him. As a single mother, it made things even harder because when I was working, the thought of him having to stay home alone was very difficult for me.

Before he started attending the center, his self-esteem was low and he didn’t have many opportunities to socialize or make friends. Since he has been going to the program, I have seen such a positive change in him. He now has something to look forward to each day, and the interaction and activities have helped bring out more of his personality.

The staff are kind, loving, supportive and very encouraging to Chris. They motivate him to participate in activities and often offer positive praise. They also keep me informed about how he is doing, which means so much to me.

It gives me great peace of mind knowing he has such a supportive and caring place to go each day. Programs like this truly make a difference for families like ours, and we are very grateful.

When my mother first began attending the Adult Day Service at Riverside, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I discovered was far more than just a program—it was a place filled with kindness, compassion, and genuine care. From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff welcomed her like family. Their warmth immediately put both of us at ease.

Every day my mother attends, she returns home smiling and full of stories about the activities she enjoyed and the friends she spent time with. The staff treat each participant with patience, dignity, and respect. They truly take the time to understand every person who walks through their doors, and it shows in the way they care for my mother.

For our family, the Adult Day Service at Riverside has been such a blessing. It has given my mother a place where she feels valued, engaged, and happy, while also giving me peace of mind knowing she is surrounded by such wonderful, attentive people.

I am deeply grateful for the incredible staff and the loving environment they create every day. Their dedication makes a meaningful difference in the lives of families like ours, and we truly couldn’t ask for a better place for my mother.

My daughter Joanie loves attending the Riverside program. She is exposed to so many happy caretakers that have patience with her dis abilities. Joanie loves the festive decorations the team encourages the clients to make. The fun activities motivates and stimulates happiness. Joanie is with a unique population of people. Her special needs are met calmly and safety is everything. Very impressed with the leader and staff.
