Riverside Medical Group is strongly committed to better communications between patients and their doctors. We were among the first provider groups to use electronic medical records, a computer-based alternative to traditional hand-written paper charts.
The electronic medical records we use today number nearly 500,000. The system is highly secure and provides a higher quality documentation of patient care. This can speed up health care decisions, increase convenience, improve patient safety and, ultimately, save lives. For example, the system has a sophisticated medical management and monitoring system that helps assure that patients are getting the right medications in the right doses.
RMG benefits today
Patients can access parts of their medical record using MyChart. MyChart gives you a secure way to communicate with your physician's office. You can make appointment requests or even schedule your appointment online. You can also ask for prescription refills and other needs, 24/7.
Along with using electronic medical records to provide better patient care, RMG physicians use the same technology to gain faster, closer access to their colleagues within the group. As a result, RMG is better able to work together to quickly put together a multidisciplinary medical team. This is very valuable for patients who have complex issues or more serious medical problems.
