Riverside Uncorked, is the Riverside Foundation’s annual virtual wine-tasting event, held exclusively for 1915 Club and Founders Society members.
This year’s event was hosted by Kristen Witt, Chief Philanthropy Officer, and Dr. Thomas Kayrouz, Chief Clinical Operations Officer. The tasting was led by Michael Kimball, Virginia wine expert, who guided guests through three exceptional local selections:
- Warwick Squeak Sparkling Rosé from SummerWind
- Church Creek Chardonnay from Chatham Vineyards
- Virginia Cabernet Franc from Williamsburg Winery
Each participant received a curated tasting pack delivered straight to their home, setting the stage for an evening of connection, discovery and gratitude.
Beyond the tasting, Uncorked offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the past year’s milestones across Riverside Health. This year’s program featured video highlights on:
- System-Wide Updates, including progress at Riverside Smithfield Hospital, the new Riverside Mental Health and Recovery Center, and more.
- Financial headwinds, exploring upcoming challenges related to federal funding changes.
- Your Gifts in Action, showcasing donor-funded technology and the powerful stories of patients whose lives have been touched by your generosity.
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined in, dressed up and paired their wines with delicious foods from home—special shoutout to Paint Pink for hosting a lively group watch party and Yannis Wine & Food for your help delivering wine to donors.
We can’t wait to uncork another great evening with you next year.
