What to expect

Your first call to us will be answered by our friendly staff, who will gather some initial information and set up a convenient appointment time for a consultation with a sleep disorders specialist.

If we determine a sleep study is recommended, our staff will provide you with information about what to expect and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Our Newport News center is one of the only Peninsula centers accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Our AASM accreditation means we have met the strictest national standards for providing sleep medicine diagnosis and treatment:

  • Our center is directed by a certified sleep physician, who has had additional and ongoing training in the science of sleep medicine.
  • When you participate in a sleep study, you can rest assured we meet the highest national standards of privacy, comfort and security.
  • Our physicians and staff regularly receive additional training and education on current technologies and procedures.

Many insurance companies now require that your sleep study be conducted in an accredited facility.
