About John Adrian Waite, FNP

After graduating from the Riverside School of Professional Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 2006, John earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in 2013. John is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.

John’s 13 years of experience includes an eight-year background in critical care nursing that helped to equip him for his current role as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in pulmonary, sleep and critical care. In both inpatient and outpatient settings, John’s ultimate goal is to provide patient-centered care. He utilizes a collaborative approach with his patients, creating an environment of teamwork to achieve wellness.

Originally from California, John spent the latter part of his childhood in York County, Virginia. The beach is his favorite part of Hampton Roads, where he lives with his wife, three daughters and a Boxer named Diesel. In his free time, John enjoys long-distance trail running, cooking and being beat at field hockey by his daughters.
