Riverside Infectious Disease Specialists

Riverside Infectious Disease Specialists offers services focused on the prevention and treatment of diseases caused by bacteria, fungi and parasites. In addition to providing consult services for inpatient hospital care, we also treat outpatients. In addition to direct patient care services, our specialists work closely with experts throughout the health system, region and commonwealth to prevent the spread of infection in care settings and in our community.

Typically we see outpatients who:

• Have infections that are difficult to diagnose;
• Have infections not responding to standard treatments;
• Have chronic infections such as HIV/AIDS; or
• Are healthy and planning to travel to locations where infection risk is high.

Whether you are seen in our office or as an inpatient in the hospital, our team is here to help.

For your first appointment, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early so we can get all the health information and insurance questions completed before your visit.

If your insurance plan requires a referral for you to see us, you are responsible for obtaining referral authorization from your primary care provider. If we have not received the authorization prior to your arrival at the office, your non-emergent appointment may need to be re-scheduled.

Please bring the following with you for your first visit:

• Your insurance card and ID
• Referral forms and co-pays, if required
• All medications in their original containers
• Copies of pertinent diagnostic tests and medical records from anywhere outside of Riverside Health
• If you have had any tests at a Riverside facility or seen a Riverside Medical Group provider, we already have access to this information via the electronic health record, so no copies of those items are needed.

If you find that you need to change your appointment, we appreciate notification at least 24 hours before your scheduled visit. A $50 “no-show” fee may be charged if you fail to show for an appointment or do not give adequate notice when canceling or rescheduling.
