Prostate Cancer Screening

September 09, 2024

One in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. African American men are at higher risk for developing prostate cancer. Screenings help find cancer early, when you have no signs or symptoms and it is easier to treat.

What age should I start screening?

Average Risk

• Men age 50 to 70 currently in excellent health

High Risk

• African American men aged 45 to 70

• Men age 45 to 70 with a first-degree relative (father, brother or son) who had prostate cancer prior to age 65

Higher Risk

• Men age 40 to 70 with more than one first-degree relative (father, brother or son) who had prostate cancer prior to age 65

Riverside Health is offering a free prostate cancer screening event on Monday, September 9, 2024 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

By appointment only! Call to register, 800-520-7006.
