Health Equity: Closing the Gap in Black Health Disparities

Please join us for our 2023 Health Equity event, Eating Our Way to Healthy Hearts: Closing the Gap in Black Health Disparities featuring Carla Hall, Celebrity Chef.

This event is presented by Riverside Health System, Truist & EVMS and our Host Sponsor is the Center for Public Health Initiatives at Norfolk State University & Norfolk State University Center of Excellence in Minority Health Disparities.  

Overflow room seating is still available!  Those that register will be seated in the overflow room. The attendees in the overflow room, will still be served the meal, view the panel discussion, and receive direct interaction with Celebrity Chef, Carla Hall.

The event is in person and will be streamed online at the Norfolk State University Facebook page.

Nutrition Moving Forward - Cancer Survivorship Series

Join us for the evening as we discuss, Nutrition Moving Forward!

Nutrition needs change before, during and after cancer treatment. Our registered cancer dietitian and nutritionists will share helpful nutrition information and will present a healthy food preparation demonstration.
