This event is presented by Riverside Health System, Truist & EVMS and our Host Sponsor is the Center for Public Health Initiatives at Norfolk State University & Norfolk State University Center of Excellence in Minority Health Disparities.  

Overflow room seating is still available!  Those that register will be seated in the overflow room. The attendees in the overflow room, will still be served the meal, view the panel discussion, and receive direct interaction with Celebrity Chef, Carla Hall.

Virtual, Postpartum Health & Baby Care: Your Guide to the 4th Trimester

This is the class you didn't know you needed!

The Fourth Trimester, also known as the postpartum period, is a time of intense change in your baby, your body and your lifestyle.  Learn more about the adjustments you and your little one will experience in the weeks after delivery.

In this virtual class, your instructor will share examples of how to care for yourself and your baby, along with reassurance that the changes and ups and downs experienced in the 4th trimester are normal and to be expected.

Virtual Back to Work & Breastfeeding Class

Returning to work while breastfeeding can seem overwhelming. This class helps mothers prepare ahead of time so that they can achieve a smooth transition back to work while continuing to breastfeed.

This virtual class is held on the third Wednesday of each month starting at 1:00 pm.

Registration is required and you can do so by clicking the yellow Register Now button to the right.

Virtual Breastfeeding Class

Breastfeeding is natural, but there are skills to be learned that can help promote successful breastfeeding. In this virtual two-hour class, our lactation consultant will share the knowledge and skills expectant parents need to get off to a great start.

This virtual class is offered once a month on a Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
