About Kristine Lucas Dutton, FNP

Board-certified family nurse practitioner Kristine L. Dutton, FNP-C, earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology and Spanish from Bridgewater College and an associate degree in nursing, RN, from Marymount University. She then earned a Master of Science in nursing from Simmons University. Kristine is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Before joining Riverside, Kristine worked as an organ transplant coordinator at LifeNet Health and at Buckeye Transplant on the Duke University Medical Center abdominal transplant team. She spent the majority of her nursing career in the ICU setting.

As a family nurse practitioner, Kristine feels invested in the care and treatment of those she serves. She has special interests in women’s health, treating hypertension and disease prevention. Kristine places a high priority on integrity and respect and her key goals in patient care include making sure the people she treats feel comfortable, understood and respected.

Kristine grew up in northern Virginia and moved to Virginia Beach in 2006 to start her nursing career. She now lives in Gloucester and likes the sense of community. Kristine is married with one daughter. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, perfecting her sourdough bread recipe, exercising and traveling, especially to the Cape Charles area.
