About Jackson Boland Salvant Jr., MD

 

Dr. Salvant earned his medical degree and completed residency training at Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He has additional specialty training in endoscopic and minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques in the brain and spine, such as minimally invasive disc surgery, intraoperative MRI, pituitary surgery and Gamma Knife radiosurgery. Dr. Salvant has special expertise in deep brain stimulation for movement disorders. Dr. Salvant is board-certified in neurosurgery since 1997.

Dr. Salvant specializes in minimally invasive spine and cranial surgery, endoscopic skull base surgery and functional neurosurgery with deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's disease and essential tremor.

My experience leading up to Dr Salvant set the stage to be ready to hear what he had to say due to his Practitioner. She ask me a lot of necessary and important questions and allowed me to share my answers the best my ability. She was very Patient. Dr Salvant intro was very nice and ready to be as informative as possible and had a very detailed explanation to what Issues and why my body was experiencing the symptoms I was getting. He also informed me of all the options. Which allowed me to decide what I felt best for Me. Thanks Dr Salvant for patient with me and not triggering any of my anxiety or Migraine by allowing me to trust you by your approach towards me.

I was sitting in a chair when Dr. Salvant came into the room. He stood the whole time he was talking to me. I feel it would have been better if he sat down so I would not have had to crane my neck to look at him.
