Internal Medicine Residency

Curriculum

Our curriculum is structured in a 6+2 format. This means that every fourth 2-week block is an ambulatory block which includes at least four half days of seeing your own empanelment of patients. The other half days can be spent in other subspecialty clinics or in academics. This will allow you flexibility to pursue career interests. The remaining 6 weeks are spent on other rotations and vacation time.

There is dedicated didactic time that consists of traditional lectures, Grand Rounds, Morbidity and Mortality conference, Journal Club, and Simulation Training. We boast a state-of-the-art Simulation Center with over 8,000 square feet and multiple high-fidelity models. Each resident will receive their own subscription to MKSAP to help augment their training and board preparation. A generous CME allowance is also provided for residents.
