SALARIES - 2023-2024

  • First Year - $60,772
  • Second Year - $62,383
  • Third Year - $65,858


  • Meal Stipend provided for each shift 
  • Resident Education Fund helps to pay for books, study materials, and approved devices (up to $4,500 over 3 years). In year 2 and beyond it can cover certain exam fees/dues, licensure and conference/courses as approved by the Program Director and based on the availability of funds
  • Professional Malpractice Insurance paid for by Riverside Regional Medical Center
  • Certain personalized uniforms provided based on Program Year
  • One time Moving Stipend of up to $1,000 (taxed)
  • Tintinalli’s, ninth edition (Electronic Version)

*If enrolled in Medical, Dental, Vision or other benefits your benefits will begin on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You may want to consider an interim medical plan to bridge the gap between your employment start date and the date your medical insurance begins. 
**For Disability and Life Insurance policies will be in force following the applicable waiting period.

  • Resident Education Fund would include, books, study material, devices. No other conferences allowed for 1st year unless you are presenting a paper or poster
  • *Step III: will reimburse exam fee once. Given time off to take the exam. Recommend taking it during an EM rotation.

*USMLE and COMLEX STEP III is expected to be taken during PGY1 year and must be passed to enter PGY3 year. If a resident does not pass Step III a six month probation period to pass the examination will be executed. If not passed at the end of the six month probation period, resident will be terminated. When Step III is passed, Riverside will reimburse for one test.
