How to Apply

Welcome to Riverside Regional Medical Center's Emergency Medicine Residency Program, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Our comprehensive three-year program offers a rewarding journey in emergency medicine with 8 residents accepted annually.

As proud participants in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP), our resident positions are exclusively available through NRMP. Any inquiries related to the program can be directed to NRMP at 202-828-0676. Our NRMP program number is 1105100211.

To apply, please submit your applications through ResidencyCAS. A complete application should include:

  • The standard ResidencyCAS application
  • MSPE
  • A minimum of 2 letters of recommendation
  • USMLE or COMLEX scores
  • A compelling personal statement

Additionally, at least one Department Standard Letter of Evaluation (SLOE) is required. A second SLOE from an "away rotation" is encouraged.

The application deadline is January 31, and interview invitations will be sent on a rolling basis from October through January. All application decisions, including waitlist invitations, will be finalized on a first-come, first served basis.

For Scheduling and communication, our program utilized Interview Broker. During the 2025 interview season, we will primarily conduct in-person interviews. Virtual interviews may be offered on a case-by-case basis for applicants unable to attend in person. 

Please ensure you have a reliable email address that you check regularly, as all correspondence regarding application status is conducted via email.

For International Medical Graduates, along with the above materials, we have specific requirements:

  • Graduation from medical school within the past two years
  • Successful completion of the CSA as well as Steps 1 and 2 of the USMLE
  • Please note that our program does not sponsor H-1B or J-1 visas.
