2026 RemarkaBall

The Foundation’s Fifth Annual RemarkaBall presented by Spain Commercial, Inc. was held on March 13. Hosted by Kristen Witt, Vice President/Chief Philanthropy Officer and Frankye Myers, Chief Nurse Executive, it was an unforgettable evening filled with celebration, fine dining and meaningful connections.

Elegant stage with white drapes, glowing neon sign, floral arrangements, and greenery. Cozy white couch and table set a romantic tone.

Guests enjoyed valet services courtesy of NECC and joined the VIP Reception thanks to City Center at Oyster Point | Murphy Family Charitable Trust where they enjoyed the sounds of Lilly Loves Jazz, Riverside colleagues and welcome music sponsor.

The Foundation honored our Citizen of the Year, Alan Witt our Provider of the Year, Dr. David Jones and had a special celebration for The Campaign for Riverside Smithfield Hospital.

Thank you to our Spring Blooms Sponsors, Michael’s Janitorial as well as Centerstage Sponsors, COX Business – who helped us add special touches to our dinner and program.

Celebrating The Campaign for Riverside Smithfield Hospital

On January 6, Riverside Health proudly opened Riverside Smithfield Hospital forever changing the landscape of care for the people of Isle of Wight, Surry and Smithfield. This hospital – decades in the making – is here because so many people believed in Riverside Health and said yes.

At a time when so many hospitals around the nation are closing or at risk of closing, Riverside has leaned in and built a nearly $300 million state-of-the-art hospital and medical campus.

On January 30, surrounded by 280 of the Foundation’s closest friends – donors, corporate partners and new Riverside Smithfield Hospital team members – the Foundation proudly announced The Campaign For Riverside Smithfield Hospital.

Every gift received throughout The Campaign for Riverside Smithfield Hospital is important. It is a statement in Riverside’s belief that no one should have to travel for world-class care. Private philanthropic funding goes a long way- especially in medically underserved communities like this one. It allows Riverside to respond to the patient directly in front of us, meeting urgent needs with compassion and flexibility.

Your Partnership Makes the Difference

Riverside Smithfield Hospital exists because of partnership between health care providers, community leaders and generous supporters who believe everyone deserves access to high-quality care. By supporting The Campaign for Riverside Smithfield Hospital, you are investing in the health and well-being of our neighbors today, while shaping the future of care for generations to come. Together, we can ensure the promise of this hospital endures.
