Prostate Cancer

Community support

There is a local group of prostate cancer survivors who all had surgery using the da Vinci robot known as the da Vinci Fraternity. For contact information, please call the Prostate Cancer Patient Navigator.

Sexuality issues

Many couples are concerned about how cancer, and the cancer treatment, will affect their sexual intimacy.

Fertility concerns

Some men, generally in the younger end of the diagnosis spectrum, are concerned about how their prostate cancer treatment will affect their future fertility. Be sure to discuss this concern with your physician to understand the impact of treatments, as well as options for your situation.

Integrative therapies

At Riverside, we believe that it is important to treat the entire patient, not just the cancer, and our Integrative Medicine Program, offered through the Peninsula Cancer Institute, is one of the ways we do that.
