Monica Logwood, PT, DPT, OCS
Monica joined the Riverside team in early 2023. A Hampton Roads native, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University in 2015. Her passion for physical therapy grew while working as a PT tech during and after college, which ultimately led her to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Lynchburg, graduating in 2021. She is now a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and is also Dry Needling Certified and holds a Level 1 Certification through the Titleist Performance Institute for enhanced golf performance. Monica enjoys treating a wide range of orthopedic and neurological conditions, working with patients from athletes to older adults. She especially loves seeing people return to the activities they value most, whether that means relearning to walk, getting back to their sport, or regaining confidence in everyday life. Outside the clinic, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband, Colby, their son, Miles, and their two German shepherds. You can find them playing softball, at the beach, or seeing live music!
Carson Matherly, PTA
Carson is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from Riverside College of Health Careers in 2020 with an Associate of Applied Science degree. Since then, she has gained extensive experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation and pelvic health, supported by certifications in Progressing Ballet Technique and Herman & Wallace Pelvic Function Level 1. Born and raised in Smithfield, Carson spent much of her childhood immersed in the world of competitive dance, where she first discovered her passion for physical therapy while rehabilitating from an injury. After her dance career, she went on to compete in bodybuilding for several years, further deepening her understanding of movement, strength, and performance. Carson takes a patient-centered, evidence-based approach to care, integrating movement efficiency, strength training, and performance principles into her practice. She strives to help each of her patients regain independence, confidence, and a renewed connection with their bodies through purposeful movement. Outside the clinic, Carson enjoys spending time with her husband, Quinton, and their two dogs, Harley and Layla. She also loves baking, reading, and crafting in her free time.
Megan Meyers, PT, DPT
Megan is a Hampton Roads native with a lifelong passion for helping others lead active, healthy lifestyles. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from James Madison University in 2015 and went on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Lynchburg in 2018.
Megan is a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist – Dry Needling (CMTPT/DN) through Myopain Seminars, and she enjoys incorporating this advanced technique into her practice to help patients alleviate pain and enhance movement.
Outside the clinic, Megan enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, attending live music events, reading, and exploring the outdoors.
