About Scott Vassar Burgess, MD

Dr. Burgess earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He completed residency training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Burgess completed a fellowship in robotic and minimally-invasive surgery at the Tulane University of Louisiana Medical Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Burgess holds particular interests in urologic cancers, robotic and laparoscopic surgery, kidney stone treatment with endoscopic and percutaneous approaches and male and female incontinence. He was drawn to the variety of conditions treated in urology and appreciates the ability to dramatically improve patients’ lives through surgical intervention. Dr. Burgess strives to treat patients like his own family. Originally from Springfield, Missouri, he enjoys playing golf, smoking meat and spending time with his wife and two girls.
