About Samantha Lynn Giaccio, DO

Samantha L. Giaccio, D.O., is an obstetrician and gynecologist who cares for women during all stages of life, with a special interest in obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and robotic-assisted procedures using the da Vinci surgical system. Dr. Giaccio helps ensure patients understand all their treatment options and partners with them to develop a care plan through education, shared decision-making and a whole-person approach. 

Dr. Giaccio completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She went on to complete an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News.

For Dr. Giaccio, obstetrics and gynecology are a natural fit because they allow her to improve women’s quality of life while celebrating milestones alongside her patients. She strives to create a welcoming setting where women feel comfortable asking questions, discussing concerns and making informed decisions about their care. When making recommendations, she takes the time to understand each patient’s unique circumstances so care aligns with their health needs and personal goals.

Originally from Poquoson, Dr. Giaccio feels honored to live close to friends and family and care for the community that raised her. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time on the coast, staying active and making memories with her family and their dog.
