About Rashonda M Barker, FNP

Rashonda M. Barker, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in women’s health, contraception counseling, intrauterine devices (IUDs) and Nexplanon insertion and removals. 

Rashonda earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. She completed a Master of Science in nursing with a family nurse practitioner concentration at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. 

Rashonda is passionate about women’s health and strives to make a positive impact in every patient’s life. She values patient education and enjoys empowering women to make informed health care decisions. 

Born at Langley Air Force Base, Rashonda moved frequently with her military family before returning to the area. She enjoys being back in Hampton Roads, spending time near the beach, exploring outdoor activities and trying diverse cuisine. When she’s not at work, she likes to travel and spend time with her family.
