Philip C. Alexander, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of liver and gastrointestinal conditions. He takes pride in being compassionate, honest and transparent. Philip values strong relationships with his patients and believes in providing the education and support they need to make informed decisions about their care.

Philip earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He then completed his Master of Science in nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration at Old Dominion University in Norfolk. He is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.

When he’s not working, Philip enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, fishing and walking his rescue dog. He appreciates the outdoor opportunities in the area, stays physically active and is also an avid reader.

He was very through. He reviewed my history, came up with a problem list, and developed a plan. He emphasized how important it was for me to follow the guidelines he set and gave me written instructions to take home. I have a lot of confidence in him.
