Philip C. Alexander, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of liver and gastrointestinal conditions. He takes pride in being compassionate, honest and transparent. Philip values strong relationships with his patients and believes in providing the education and support they need to make informed decisions about their care.

Philip earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He then completed his Master of Science in nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration at Old Dominion University in Norfolk. He is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.

When he’s not working, Philip enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, fishing and walking his rescue dog. He appreciates the outdoor opportunities in the area, stays physically active and is also an avid reader.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Dr Alexander made sure that I was a part of the conversation concerning my health issue. Simply put it was a case of "this is what we can do to help get you healthy again" instead of the case of "this is what we're going to try if it works fine, if not maybe we'll try something different"
