About Monica Boole Layne, FNP
Monica earned both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Monica began her nursing career in 2003 as a registered nurse at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, where she gained a decade of experience before becoming a nurse practitioner in 2014. She enjoys working with all stages of life, with a particular interest in treating acute illnesses. Monica’s desire is to serve and help those in her community through holistic medical care, with a strong emphasis on patient education to promote wellness.
Originally from Virginia’s Eastern Shore, Monica lived in Oregon and Tennessee before returning home to the rural, coastal area she loves. She enjoys time with her family and outdoor activities such as boating. Monica and her husband, Douglas, have a son and a daughter.
