Marisa C. Bocklet, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in orthopedic trauma. She works with patients throughout treatment and recovery, focusing on clear communication and building trust. Marisa values a team-based environment that ensures every patient feels supported at each stage of care.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in health science from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, she then completed her physician assistant studies at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She is a board-certified physician assistant, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Marisa's lifelong involvement in sports, exercise and fitness drew her to orthopedics, where she is fascinated by the musculoskeletal system and the body's ability to heal and regain function after injury. She is especially passionate about caring for adult patients, building long-term relationships and partnering with them on informed decisions about their care. She takes time to listen, helping patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns.

Drawn back by its closeness to the water and easy access to the mountains, Marisa grew up in Hampton Roads and has returned after time away. An avid runner and weightlifter, she competes in HYROX competitions around the country and volunteers in medical tents at races to support fellow athletes. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, running and boating.
