About Leelawattie Bisnauth, FNP
Leelawattie joined Riverside Primary Care Kiln Creek with more than 20 years of nursing and management experience after serving as clinical director at Mary Immaculate Ambulatory Surgery Center. Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, she holds a Master of Science in nursing from Chamberlain University.
She has cared for patients locally in Newport News throughout her nursing career, advancing from staff RN to supervisory and clinical director roles before becoming a family nurse practitioner. Experienced in a range of clinical services and environments, from routine and preventive exams to surgical settings, she is also certified in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support.
Leelawattie enjoys working directly with patients to achieve the best possible health outcomes and maintains a philosophy to treat each patient as if they were a family member. Her patient-centric approach prioritizes educating and empowering patients to better self-manage illnesses and their overall health.
She is originally from Guyana, South America, and enjoys gardening and traveling in her spare time. Her favorite things about this area include proximity to the ocean, mountains and historical areas.
