About Karim Hebishi, MD

Karim Hebishi, M.D., is a psychiatrist and internal medicine physician specializing in physical and mental health. His focus includes perinatal and post-partum depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Dr. Hebishi believes mental and emotional well-being is at the core of good health. By combining psychological and physical health care, he helps his patients manage illness and achieve a better quality of life.

Dr. Hebishi earned his medical degree from Benha University College of Human Medicine in Benha, Egypt. He completed a combined internal medicine and psychiatry residency at East Carolina University Health Medical Center (formerly Vidant Health) in Greenville, North Carolina.

Dr. Hebishi decided to study both psychiatry and internal medicine to help patients manage the physical impact of chronic disease and better cope with their diagnosis. He takes a team-based approach to patient care, collaborating with other health professionals to guide patients as they manage their conditions and improve their emotional well-being.
