About Irina V. Swing, PA-C

Irina Swing is a board-certified physician assistant who focuses on neurology, with a special interest in complex neurological issues.

After completing a Doctor of Internal Medicine degree in Russia, Irina earned a Master of Science in physician assistant studies from LeMoyne College in New York. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Irina previously practiced as a hospitalist at the Moscow Scientific Research Institute of Neurosurgery.

Her extensive clinical experience and depth of knowledge during nearly 20 years as a medical doctor in Russia have prepared Irina well for a career as a physician assistant and helped her develop a mature, sensible approach to medicine. She believes that fully comprehending the complexities of medicine and everyday life requires a holistic approach for success. Irina has learned the value of good listening and appreciates the unique circumstances of every patient.

Irina grew up in a family of doctors. In Hampton Roads, she loves attending Virginia Symphony Orchestra concerts and always looks forward to new exhibitions at the Chrysler Museum. Irina enjoys playing tennis, swimming in the ocean and practicing yoga. She often visits the Norfolk Botanical Gardens for inspiration and ideas on landscape design.
