About Hersimren Singh Minhas, MD

Hersimren Minhas, M.D., is a cardiologist who is fellowship-trained in cardiovascular diseases and specializes in heart failure, heart valve disease and ischemic heart disease. He is board certified in echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CT) and nuclear cardiology. 

Dr. Minhas earned a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois. After earning his medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, he completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. 

The combination of meaningful patient relationships and continually advancing technology and treatment options drew Dr. Minhas to cardiology. He values ongoing learning as part of caring for people and brings that mindset to every patient conversation. People working with Dr. Minhas can expect that he’ll take time to explain conditions and treatment options clearly. He enjoys getting to know his patients and asking to see pictures of their pets. 

Dr. Minhas is originally from Toronto, Canada. Outside of work, he stays active through cycling, kayaking and indoor rock climbing, and he enjoys cooking and exploring new restaurants and parks. He and his wife share their home with two rescue dogs.
