About Courtney Lee McClure, DO

Courtney L. McClure, D.O., is a urologist who cares for patients with kidney stones, blood in the urine and urinary problems caused by an enlarged prostate, overactive bladder, urethral strictures or bladder infections. She also treats erectile dysfunction and prostate and bladder cancers, using minimally invasive surgery and robotic-assisted techniques when possible. 

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, Dr. McClure went on to earn her medical degree at Kansas City University in Joplin, Missouri. She completed her residency in urology at Henry Ford Warren Hospital in Warren, Michigan, where she also served as a point of contact for medical students rotating through the program.

What Dr. McClure finds most rewarding about urology is helping patients and their families understand a diagnosis well enough to make decisions together. She talks through each option in plain terms, often sketching diagrams so patients leave with a clear picture of their care.  Understanding that urology concerns can feel personal, Dr. McClure creates a comfortable, judgment-free environment where patients can discuss their health with confidence.

Dr. McClure grew up in the Metro Detroit area and is happy to trade cold winters for a milder climate close to the ocean. She looks forward to hiking, biking and kayaking, and fresh seafood. She and her husband, also a physician at Riverside, share their home with two rescue dogs and enjoy traveling and live music together.
