About Belinda DeAnn Humes, FNP

Belinda Humes, DNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in primary care for adults and older children. She has a primary interest in disease prevention and management of chronic conditions, including obesity, diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure. After working for more than 20 years in the ER, Belinda became a family nurse practitioner to help prevent disease, build health and preserve patients’ quality of life.  

Belinda earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Arizona in Tucson and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.   

Caring for others as if they are her own family is central to Belinda’s practice. She has meaningful and respectful conversations with patients, empowering them to make educated health care decisions. She takes pride in providing safe, high-quality care with compassion. 

Belinda enjoys the outdoors, spending her free time RV camping with family and friends and gardening. A football fan, she still roots for the Kansas City Chiefs and Arkansas Razorbacks. Now she and her family appreciate our tight-knit eastern shore community; it reminds her of Arkansas, where she grew up.
